Crocker's Folly

Crocker's Folly is an iconic landmark
brilliantly reinvented for the 21st century.

The Reopening

The reopening of Crocker’s Folly has given London the chance to reacquaint itself with one of its most glorious edifices. A beautiful Grade II* listed former Victorian gin palace, complete with 50 kinds of marble, Romanesque columns, cut glass chandeliers and carved mahogany. Sympathetically and painstakingly restored, Crocker’s Folly has been reinvented by its owners, the renowned Maroush Group, as a stylish restaurant and bar serving modern European food – complemented by a selection of wine and signature cocktails.

The Marble Room

The building’s legendary saloon bar, created from no less than 50 types of marble, has been transformed into a spectacular dining room.

Other original features, including a huge open fireplace adorned with the Crocker’s Folly logo, itself inspired by the summer harvest images on the richly decorated ceiling; stunning glasswork and imposing central bar, are offset by more contemporary touches such as Italian tables and chairs.

The Lord's
Dining Room

Named in honour of famous neighbour Lord’s Cricket Ground, this more intimate dining room, boasts a dazzling Baccarat crystal chandelier and original Victorian Bay windows.

Diners can watch their food being prepared in the open kitchen, an addition that lends the room a further vibrancy. This room is ideal for all types of private and corporate events and can accommodate up to 100 people
standing and 50 seated.

Hiring architect Charles Worley, Frank spared no expense building his Crown Hotel. Every wall, window and ceiling was decorated in ornate style, with soaring pillars, wood panelling and elaborate stucco featuring gambolling cherubs. Its grand saloon used 50 types of marble to create a magnificent bar-top…
